  101Kidz : Grown Ups : Recipes : Appetizers

[]

Chinese Chicken Wings

1 Cup Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp Allspice, Ground
1/3 Cup Sugar
6 Scallions, Sliced Thin
1 Tbls Vegetable Oil
16 Chicken Wings
1 1/2 tsp Ginger, Ground
1/4 tsp Anise, Ground

Mix the soy sauce, anise, allspice, ginger and oil in a large bowl.
Mix in the sugar until dissolved. Stir in the scallions. Add the chicken wings to the marinade. Toss to coat thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap. Marinate, refrigerated, for 8 hours or longer. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Drain the chicken wings. Reserve the marinade.
Place the wings in a (9"x12") baking dish. Bake until golden brown (40-60 minutes-depending on how crisp you want them). Baste 2 or 3 times with the marinade while baking.

Yields 16 Wings
