White Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
2 egg whites
2/3 cup skim milk
1/3 cup Karo light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

Spray 9 inch square baking pan with cooking spray. In large bowl
combine flour, sugar, cornstarch, baking powder and salt. In medium
bowl, using fork or wire whisk, mix egg whites, milk, corn syrup and
vanilla. Add to flour mixture, stir until smooth, but as little as possible. Pour into prepared pan. Bake in 350 F oven 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. 

Makes 16 servings.
